The Metroplex Beautillion (pronounced bō-til'yen) was developed as a local response to Guide Right, a national service directive of Kappa Alpha Psi.
Since its inception, this program has become a landmark experience for those who have participated and has since been adopted by a multitude of other Kappa alumni chapters across the country.
The program provides black youth with mentoring, guidance, self-awareness, college preparation, leadership training and scholarships.
This program was the brainchild of Arlington-Grand Prairie Alumni Chapter Member Wallace “Blinky” Williams.
Through the Arlington-Grand Prairie Guide Right Foundation, the members of the Arlington-Grand Prairie Alumni Chapter volunteer our time and resources to "invest in the future".
This program provides a structured atmosphere for young men in their senior year of high school to develop socially, culturally and intellectually through mentored workshops while providing scholarship opportunities.
Students are selected for participation based on character, academic performance, talent and extracurricular activities. Planned activities culminate with an annual formal presentation that highlights the participants' development, accomplishments and talents.
