The Adopt-A-School Project is an initiative where the Guide Right Foundation works with a primary or secondary
school in the Arlington or Grand Prairie (TX) to provide mentoring assistance as well as support
for requested educational programs as requested by the school administrators. Especially designed for middle school boys grade 6-8. Future plans call
for programs to assist the adopted school with fund-raising activities.
AGPGRF Adopted School - Arnold Middle School Mission Statement
Arnold Middle School will provide a positive, safe, and secure environment that will empower students to learn while building self-esteem.
Students will be afforded the opportunity to experience success and mutual respect which will prepare them to be life-long learners.
The Arnold community will cooperate to produce responsible individuals who are able to adapt to an ever-changing society.
Program Objectives The AGPGRF aims to provide adopted schools with supplies and place our members into local schools to mentor and tutor kids
in small groups (2-4 boys per mentor) once per month for 60-90 minutes.
AGPGRF creates programs to help kids who are "at risk" or disadvantaged learn how to improve academically and become good citizens
through life lessons on character building, leadership
and goal setting.
We try to show kids how to resist bad influences that could lead them to crime, drug use, gang participation, and violence.
